Considering the MBA? New summer course can launch your studies

 

If you’re considering a MBA, launch your studies with the new course “Innovation and Creative Problem Solving.” This 8-week class is taught by Dr. Kelley Nichols, associate professor of accounting in the Breech School of Business.

MBA 690 (3 credit hours) is an elective in Drury’s MBA program and will be taught in a blended format (seated and online) June 6 through Aug. 5. The class will meet on Wednesday evenings (6-8:45 p.m.) with other work and activities completed online.

This course will first ground students in the historical theories and avenues of innovation.  Students will explore organizational culture conducive to fostering ongoing innovation in large and small organizations.  Students will study and apply the Simplex Creative Problem Solving methodology including a live project with their own company, employer or another organization.

There are no business prerequisites to enroll in this course. The tuition is $695 per credit hour ($2085).

To register for the course, students can apply via two different ways:

  1. Apply as a non-degree seeking student. Fill out our online application, pay the $25 application fee, and send an official copy of your undergraduate transcript (showing the degree was conferred).

OR

  1. Apply to our MBA program. Students must complete an application packet comprised of: an online application, $25 application fee, GMAT scores, two letters of reference, and an official copy of your undergraduate transcript (showing the degree was conferred).
