How the program helped you/what it helped you achieve?

The program helped me to learn all facets of the nonprofit world. It exposed me to community leaders with knowledge that was very valuable. I recommend this degree to anyone wanting to expand their knowledge of the nonprofit industry and go to the next level in their career. Because of my degree, I have recently joined the local Rotary and have become a board member at the public relations position. I am tackling things that I would have never tried before because I didn’t feel confident in myself. Now I feel like I can do anything I put my mind too!

How the program helped you/what it helped you achieve?

This program has grown me significantly!  The agency I work for I don’t think would have hired me without it.  While I was in the program, I used the information I learned to help me grow a very successful volunteer program for Harmony House. I learned so much during this program! It really took me to the next level and opened up my career opportunities.  The information that we received was so relevant that I could take it to work and apply it to my job immediately.  The professors get to know their students and they are invested in the success of each and every one of them.  I would highly recommend this program to anyone desiring work in nonprofit leadership.

How the program helped you/what it helped you achieve?

My education at Drury has given me the tools to effectively communicate with donors and board members to achieve the goals I have with development.

I understand the importance of a strategic plan and how best to construct one. I am confident in my abilities in fundraising, public speaking and grant writing as a result of the teachings of the amazing professors at Drury. With the CAC I assist with fundraising event sponsorships, activities, and planning. I am currently the volunteer coordinator at CAC. I am researching and developing a strategic plan for a planned giving legacy society at CAC.
