MBA students connect with professionals

Students in Drury’s MBA program are encouraged to connect with business and community leaders throughout their studies. Recently, a group of MBA students attended the CoxHealth Young Professionals meeting.

“The event was part of the CoxHealth Young Professionals group that meets once a month, ” said Clayton Perkins, MBA student and event attendee.

This gathering featured a leadership panel with three CoxHealth Leaders:  the CIO, the CAO, and the VP of Clinical Services. They answered questions about their years of experience in the field as well as the choices and opportunities that lead them to be in a leadership role. I found it really informative and inspiring that these leaders shared not only their skills but also their difficulties in their positions.

As an MBA, it made me hopeful that similar opportunities may be waiting for me after I complete my degree.”
